My name is Luc Bergeron and it is my pleasure, as President of the Cumberland Agricultural Society to welcome you to the 2019 Navan Fair.
I have been involved with the Fair in one capacity or another for 20 plus years. As President , I hope to continue plans already set in motion to continue to revitalize our Fairgrounds and facilities. I will also have the pleasure of presiding over our 75th Navan Fair and the 25th Anniversary of our World Record 50 Horse Hitch in 2020.
This year our 74th fair will feature livestock shows, light and draft horse show, live entertainment “Under the Domes”, the education barn and so much more, plus the return of Robertson Amusement who will be adding a new ride to our fair this year.
I would like to thank all our members, the board of directors, volunteers, staff and sponsors that make this 4-day event possible. The fair would not happen without all oftheir support and generosity. I am looking forward to another successful year.
Our theme this year is “Chasin A Country Rainbow”. I hope to see you all at this years fair, come on out and have some fun!
2018 Ambassador’s Message
It feels like it was not too long ago that I was anxiously watching the weather as the Navan Fair weekend approached and started planning my outfits for each day. The 2018 Navan Fair was phenomenal! Everything from the weather, to the entertainment, to the food vendors was perfect. It is very bittersweet thinking that my time as Ambassador is coming to a close. Representing Navan as Ambassador has gone further than simply being involved in the Navan Fair for four days. It was about being involved in all the community events Navan has to offer, attending other fair opening nights, attending the Ontario Association of Agricultural Society convention and my favourite part, being a role model to children in the community. Being the Navan Fair Ambassador gifted me with so many incredible opportunities and I will cherish these memories forever. I look forward to continuing my involvement with the Navan Fair, encouraging youth to get involved and promoting the Ambassador program.
