NOTE: Entries are to be placed on display Wednesday, August 9th, 2017 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM and are not to be removed until Sunday, August 13th, 2017 at 4:30 pm.

Rules and Regulations

  1. One entry per exhibitor in any section
  2. Exhibitor must be a member of the Society unless listed as a Junior entry.
  3. All entries must be produced or grown by Exhibitor.
  4. Entries must be phoned in to 613-833-0004 or emailed to debbie.locas@sympatico.ca on or before Friday, August 4th to Debbie Locas.
  5. Plates will be available for vegetables
  6. Judging will begin at 9:00 AM Thursday, August 11th, 2016.
  7. All vegetables should be lightly washed.
  8. Sweet corn, 1/3 husk removed from tip to butt.
  9. Onions not to be peeled, but roots may be left on.
  10. Blossoms should be left on beans.

  1. Make a kite in the shape of a farm machine-not to exceed 24″-does not have to fly (ex. tractor, wagon, baler etc)
  2. Poster in the shape of a Barn. Poster must include 4 different pieces of equipment used on a dairy farm. Equipment must be labelled. Use a whole Bristol board.

ADULT CLASS – AGE 17 AND OVER
Prize Money
1st – $6.00     2nd – $5.00     3rd – $4.00     4th – $3.00

  1. Make a free standing scarecrow using a 2Litre Pop Bottle as the body. Scarecrow to be decorated.
  2. Decorate a straw hat showing Spring has arrived.
  3. Create a center piece – harvest oriented – using grains, vegetables, fruits, etc – 24 inches maximum
  4. Make a collage of animals and things found on a Dairy Farm (8-1/2” x 11”)
